LE GHANA Ghana is a magnificent country in West Africa, situated between Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Togo. A country of 30 million inhabitants first colonised by the Portuguese, then the Dutch and finally the British, it was the first African country to gain its independence peacefully in 1957. The official language is English, but it is surrounded by French-speaking countries. Very rarely visited, it is a jewel of authenticity. Its inhabitants are renowned for their hospitality, calm and joie de vivre. Enjoy these photos taken by our team on every visit: from the rainforest in the south with its heavenly beaches, to the colourful markets, rich culture and savannah with elephants in the north, it's above all the people who win our hearts on every trip.
